Home for the Holidays: Why I'm Bringing Mini Sessions to Your Door This Fall
Ten years into this business, I've learned something that took me way too long to admit: the best photos aren't the ones where everyone's perfectly posed against a backdrop that could belong to anyone. They're the ones taken in the kitchen where breakfast actually happens. On the porch you sit on every evening. In the yard where your kids have worn a path into the grass. That's the whole idea behind Home for the Holidays.
What it actually is
This fall, I'm offering in-home and favorite-place mini sessions , no studio, no rented backdrop, no rushing between back-to-back 15-minute slots at some event space. Just you, in the place that already holds your story, during the fall light that makes everything feel a little more golden. You pick the spot. Your living room. Your favorite trail. The porch your grandkids run across every Sunday. If it's real to you, it works.
Why I'm doing it this way
Traditional mini sessions are built for efficiency, one location, one day, everyone shuffled through fast. That works fine if all you want is a nice photo. But if you want photos that actually feel like you, not like you borrowed someone else's afternoon, the setting matters as much as the person taking the picture. So instead of asking you to come to me, I'm coming to you.
